Lalita Wool Area Rug
Inspired by the artful curves and lines of rock gardens, this area rug is designed to bring a sense of calm wherever it lands. Luxuriously soft and extra plush, this rug practically begs you to kick off your shoes and make yourself at home.
Each rug is knotted by hand and made using the finest New Zealand wool. All made start-to-finish in a fair trade workshop in Bhadohi, India.

Our rugs are handcrafted to last a lifetime, made using the highest quality natural fibers – no synthetic materials like viscose, rayon, or polyester are used.
Basic care:
Because each rug is handcrafted with only natural materials and hand-trimmed to the desired pile height, it is normal to see loose fibers or shedding in the first six months.
Vacuum lightly at least once a week using only low suction and no beater brush, as this may damage the rug. More frequent vacuuming will help prevent shedding.
Avoid placing rugs in prolonged direct sunlight as this can cause fading.
Rotate your rug every 3-6 months. This will help prevent excessive wear and fading in one area.
The use of a rug pad will keep your rug lying smooth and flat and will help prevent slippage.
Treating stains:
Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth - act quickly to prevent drying. Avoid harsh chemicals and household cleaners as they may damage or fade the rug. When in doubt, professional cleaning is always best.

White glove delivery items are handled separately and have a 15% re-stocking fee.

A nightmare of an experience with Citizenry on this rug purchase. I waited all year for it to be restocked in the 6x9 size, checking back on the website weekly, and my efforts paid off when I finally had the opportunity to purchase it in August when 4 rugs were restocked. I immediately purchased and planned our new living room design around this rug. Citizenry ended up shipping me the incorrect rug, and the rug that was supposed to be mine was damaged in the process of being sent to the wrong customer. And now it's out of stock. What a waste of time, energy, money, and emotional investment in an item we will no longer (ever?) receive. This feels like the type of customer service you would expect at Overstock.com or a cheap rug retailer. Would exercise extreme caution in ordering rugs from Citizenry in the future; their warehouse appears to be in a very disorganized state, one where big mistakes have big consequences.
