NY - Umi Indigo Pillow
Handmade in Japan by
The Oki Indigo Studio
Hand-dyed by a master artisan dedicated to preserving the ancient art of indigo dyeing in Japan, you can see the craftsmanship in every inch of this large throw pillow. Featuring a striking duo of rich indigo shades in an effortless color-block design, this pillow plays dual roles as a complementary neutral and standout star.
Hand-dyed from all-natural indigo plants using the Ita Jima (with wood plates) style by Chiharu, a master dyer in Oki City, each pillow is dip-dyed over four times to achieve these shades of indigo. From start-to-finish, it takes a day to complete, all made in a fair-trade environment.
Note: Since this is a handcrafted item, each pillow is one-of-a-kind – expect variation in hues and patterns.
This pillow comes ready to style. Cruelty-free down alternative insert included.
Never wash your pillow cover in a washing machine - this will cause the natural dyes to bleed and ruin the rich color of the fabric. Absorb any liquid spills with paper towels or a clean cloth. Dry cleaning is the best option for removing stains or occasional cleaning.
